Natural Food Sources of Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen

Nutrition Portal

Got a wrinkle to fill? You could fill that wrinkle with injections of bovine collagen or hyaluronic acid. Yet, is there anyway to smooth out wrinkles without jabbing your skin with needles?

You can avoid the need for the needle by optimizing your estrogen levels. While estrogen influences numerous aspects of our health, from the development of breast cancer to the development of a fetus, estrogen also determines the moisture and collagen level of our skin as we age.

Studies published by N. Grosman in the “Acta Pharmacol Toxicol” established the link between estrogen and collagen. Estrogen boosts the skin’s moisture content by increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the body. One of hyaluronic acid’s primary jobs is to make the skin firm and provide support for the collagen and elastin fibers that give skin a firm, youthful appearance.

You can potentially increase that amount of hyaluronic acid in your skin by increasing your intake of estrogen. For example, animal studies show that soy isoflavones protect skin against sun damage and may increase production of hyaluronic acid.
Soy dishes come in a variety of options. From soy tofu to soy protein shakes food incarnations of soy are endless.

While eating your way to a firmer face, you don’t want to overlook vitamin C. While vitamin C remains a potent antioxidant, it also helps your body to produce collagen.

Even though vitamin C’s beauty potential is loudly touted by the media, 33% of the US population is not getting enough vitamin C according to a 2005 survey done by the U.S. Agricultural Research Service’s Food Surveys Research Group.

You can enjoy vitamin C in foods like broccoli, red or green peppers, strawberries, oranges and Brussels spouts.

Eating vitamin C and optimizing your estrogen levels are just one step in a series of things you can do to slow down the aging process. One simple tip to keep your anti-aging regime working is to ask yourself each time you eat, “Is this food protecting me from free radials and allowing my body to repair itself, or causing more free radial damage?” This way you’re sure to be eating your way to more youthful skin.

Warning: Excess Protein is Hazardous to Your Health and Fitness!

Nutrition Portal

Wait a minute! We know that fat and cholesterol are hazardous to our health. You mean to tell me that too much protein is also hazardous to our health?

Yes, absolutely! That is exactly what I am saying. I know that this may come as a complete surprise to you, but the truth is that many experts think that too much protein, particularly animal protein, is hazardous to your health!

If a person consumes over 15% protein in his diet (beef typically has 26% protein - the rest is fat - and chicken has 61% protein - the rest is fat), then the body must get rid of that protein.

In other words, the body stores very little protein. Certain organs are responsible for getting rid of the proteinnamely the kidneys and liver. The more protein we eat, the harder the kidneys and liver have to work to excrete the protein. The result of overuse of these organs is obviouspremature wear and tear.

Most Americans eat an over-abundance of animal protein from their foods every day, and then they load themselves up even more with protein powders and drinks and bars. We are protein crazy in this country! And it is to our demise, not to our benefit.

So along with the wear and tear of the kidneys and the liver which is bad enough, why else is excess animal protein hazardous to your health?

Excess protein makes the body more acidic, and these acids accumulate in the joints causing arthritis and gout.

Animal protein is hard to digest so it is hard on the digestive system causing digestive problems.

Animal protein is strongly associated with heart disease; no, not just the fat and cholesterol, but also the animal protein itself.

Animal protein is associated with many kinds of cancers, such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer, and pancreatic cancer.

In a huge study conducted in China by T. Colin Campbell, PhD., it was found that the groups of people who ate the most animal protein had, by far, the most heart disease and certain cancers. And the amount of animal protein did not have to go up very high in order for the disease numbers to go up also.

And because the animal protein makes the body more acidic, the body has to neutralize the acid. It does so by pulling calcium out of the bones, and then we pee out the calcium.

Why is this significant?

It is believed that animal protein just happens to be one of the major contributors to osteoporosis in this country. This excess protein leaches the calcium out of our bones.

So one of the best things you can do for yourself is to cut back, way back, on your consumption of meat protein and protein artificially loaded into other foods and pseudo-foods. In fact, your best bet for maximum health and fitness is to completely eliminate animal sources of protein.

Load up on plant foods and get away from animal productsit just makes sense!

What is a Goji Berry?

Nutrition Portal

Until about 2 years ago, almost nobody in the Western Civilization ever hear of
a Goji berry or a Goji berry plant. Often referred to as the “fountain of youth
plant”, this amazing plant, indigenous to the Tibetan and Mongolian Himalayas,
is really making the scene nowadays. It’s Latin name is, Lycium Barbarum, there
are over 40 different varieties, or strains, around the world.

What’s so special about this plant? For one thing, the Goji berries are the
richest source of antioxidants of any food source yet discovered. Antioxidants
neutralize free radicals that can damage or destroy our DNA and healthy cells.
This can lead to premature aging, and increase the chances of being afflicted by
cancer, heart disease, HBP, diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease, Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome, and numerous other maladies running rampart in our Society.

Another unique quality about the Goji berry plant is the 4 unique
polysaccharides it possesses. At least one of these can aid in boosting the
immune system. Another is known to potentially stimulate the Pituitary Gland
located in the anterior of the brain to increase the production of Human Growth
Hormone (HGH). As we get older, our glands often secrete fewer hormones, and the
HGH the Master Hormone in our bodies, controls the function of the other
hormones in our bodies.

The Baby Boomer Generation is mostly coming into their 60’s and 70’s, and health
concerns are taking Main Stage for many of them. Medical and pharmateucal costs
are going through the roof with no end in sight. When the HGH levels in
someone’s system lessens, accelerated aging may increase. Henceforth, when our
HGH levels are increased, many of the symptoms of aging can potentially
decrease, and clinical studies have shown that some of the symptoms of aging can
even be reversed. Some people have experienced original hair color being
restored, eyesight improved, sounder sleep, elevated libido, reduction in
chronic aches and pains, reduced wrinkling, increased energy levels, increased
to illness and disease, improved mental alertness, and a better overall sense of
well being after taking goji berries.

In the Himalayas where the people there customarily have consumed Goji berries
as a part of their regular diet, it is not uncommon for some of them living to
120 or so life spans. The oldest recorded living person is documented to live to
252 years, and ate Goji berries on a regular basis. The Chinese Government
awarded him 3 times with Longevity Certificates. It can be further noted that
people in the Himalayas that traditionally eat the goji berries seldom acquire
many of the “dread diseases” that are considered “incurable” in Western Society.
While our Medical Society busies itself with treating the symptoms with drug and
chemotherapy, surgery, and so forth, wouldn’t it make more sense to look for
what’s lacking in our diets and fortify our defense systems against these
infectious invaders? Ben Franklin said it best when he said, “An ounce of
prevention is worth a pound of cure”. Linus Pauling, two-time Nobel Prize
Laurite, once said, “virtually every sickness, illness and disease can be traced
to the lack of at least one or more important minerals lacking in our diet”.
With over 60 macro and trace minerals originally in our soils, and commercial
farming customarily replenishing only 3 of these minerals, it is no wonder why
so many of our population are malnourished, even if they don’t know it, and why
diseases rare in the pre-industrial revolution are now commonplace in today’s
Modern Society.

Tim O’shea does research and studies on all types of nutrition. He
finds the goji berry to be one of the most nutritional natural foods on the
plant. Gojiberries.us
offers Tibetan Himalayan goji berries,
goji berry juice, seeds and seaweed fertilizer.

Eat Healthy Live Better

Nutrition Portal

The old saying “you are what you eat” rings true. If you eat in an unhealthy way without moderation your body will reflect your diet and it will spill over into your lifestyle. Food is a primary factor in our overall health.

The common food classes that put on weight are:

1. Fats and oils: The body needs these in moderation. Most of us eat foods that are too high in these substances.

2. Carbohydrates: this group of foods is necessary for the body but is commonly the cause of weight gain, as people eat an excess of these foods.

3. Sugar: The body does need saccharides but many people eat too much of these sugars, especially sucrose which leads to weight gain. Sugar is an oddly addictive food the more you eat the more you want to eat.

4. Empty calorie foods: termed as “junk foods”-they just have calories but little or no nutritional value. The 2 commonest forms of “junk food” are sodas and chips.

5. Any foods taken in excess: can lead to weight gain.

How can we eat better and why does it matter?

When you eat a healthy diet you will feel better and certainly look better. Here are a few tips to help you:

1.	Eat less-little and often is best
 2.	Resist temptation to snack in-between meals
 3.	Cut down but do not eliminate
 a.	Carbohydrates
 b.	Fats and oils
 c.	Sugars
 4.	The one saccharide you can avoid is sucrose

Dealing with cravings: This is a big problem that those trying to lose weight face. Here are some tips to help you:

1.	When you eat les you will naturally get hungry but there are a couple of ways to help you with this:
 a.	Drink more water-ice cold is most effective
 b.	Eat more fiber-this fills you up and allows your digestive system to work better.
 2.	Sugar withdrawal: you will experience cravings for sugar. You can counteract this by:
 a.	Using sugar substitutes
 b.	Gradually reducing sugar intake (namely sucrose)
 3.	Junk food and snacks: substitute for raw vegetable and high protein snacks

Fiber rich foods: These are an important part of a healthy diet. In the old days our foods were much richer in fiber and basic nutrients. However now due to several factors like refining and green harvests fiber and nutrition in our foods are considerably reduced. This means that we need to think more carefully about the foods we are consuming. Here are a few common foods that will increase fiber in your diet:

•	Whole grains:
o	Whole wheat bread instead of white bread.
o	Brown rice instead of white rice
o	Whole grain cereal (breakfast cereals)
 •	Fruits and vegetables: Preferably with skin if possible

Educate yourself about foods that are better for your health and eat better in moderation. You will not only lose weight you will be healthier and feel better. With your newfound health and wellbeing you will have more energy to enjoy your life to the fullest.

Improve Your Mental Cognitive Abilities

Nutrition Portal

The Connection Between Brain Inflammation, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease

The evidence is overwhelming that sustained inflammation is the driving force of many degenerative diseases. Chronic inflammation is centrally implicated in heart disease, cancer and chronic viral conditioning such as Alzheimer’s.

Nowhere is damage more telling than chronic inflammation in the brain. Parkinson’s disease is inflammation burning away zones in the brain. Alzheimer’s involves many breakdown processes with inflammation at the forefront of these failed neurological processes.

What then, is an effective program to control brain inflammation? Antioxidants like Vitamin C can block free radicals that often stoke inflammation. Vitamin C and E also have had some success against dementia in clinical trials further substantiating their anti-inflammatory properties. Acetyl-L-Carnitine helps the brain cells make the energy they need for repair and renewal while Ginkgo Biloba combined with Phospholipids will also enhance antioxidant action.

Cognizin Combats Mental Deterioration

Alpha GPC is a proven nutrient for individuals with mental deterioration related to poor circulation of which inflammation is a major factor. An exciting new ingredient Cognizin has proved to be extremely effective in combating brain deterioration. To read more on the clinical results of Cognizin follow this link: http://www.cognizin.com/studies.html

Neurovar with Cognizin Improves Your Mental Focus Factor

Bill, a 55 year old VP of sales at a leading lighting manufacturer, used a product called Neurovar for 12 weeks. Neurovar contains Vitamin C, Cognizin, Ginkgo Biloba, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Alpha GPC and other support nutrients. Bill states “I have more focus and seem to be more mentally sharp. At first I thought it was a placebo effect but over time I realized this product really works. I will continue using this product for its performance and protective properties.”

If you are looking for something preventative or something to improve mental performance and while easing inflammation, a quality supplement like Neurovar is the educated answer. Taking anti-oxidants can be a benefit to overall brain health but a more complete formula with multiple quality ingredients is recommended here. If products like Neurovar are too costly do the next best thing and use some of the less expensive anti-oxidants. This option will provide some protective properties for the brain.

Glyconutrients For You?

Nutrition Portal

Simply stated, the Greek word glyco refers to “sweet.”
Hence, a glyconutrient is a biochemical that contains a
sugar molecule. The prefix “glyco” can be placed in front
of a fat, protein or any molecule and suggests that a sugar
is attached. Glycobiology is the study of the sugar portion
of these proteins and fats.

Glycoprotein = Sugar attached to a protein.

Glycolipid = Sugar attached to a fat.
Glycoform = Any sugar form.

What exactly are Glyconutrients?

Glyconutrients are not vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats,
herbs, enzymes or homeopathic drugs. They are carbohydrates.
Just as there are essential proteins called amino acids and
essential fats called fatty acids, glyconutrients are the
newly discovered class of necessary carbohydrate nutrients.

The efficacy of glyconutrients has been established by the
world’s leading scientists and researchers as the key to
proper cellular communication and proper cell function. Many
medical professionals and research scientists believe this
medical breakthrough in glycoscience will lead to
glyconutrients becoming a household word within the next
three years and believe Glyconutrients will soon become
mandatory for overall health. With the speculation of becoming
a “staple nutritional supplement” for all 6 billion people on
Earth, even business analysts believe Glyconutrients will
become a household staple.

Scientists are networking over the emergence of this new
technology called “glycobiology”- the discovery of cellular
communication! Books and articles are being published on this
life-enhancing technology everyday! It is exciting to see how
nutritional supplementation of glyconutrients can play a role
major in supporting our bodies.

Barbara and Jacques, began giving her glyconutrient products.
“Michelle now has the quality of life every parent wants for his

Top Ten Toxins We Regularly Put Into Our Bodies

Nutrition Portal

We often consume foods and drinks that stress our bodies and overload our systems.

Below is a list of the top ten toxins we are putting into our bodies on an almost daily basis. Luckily there are ways to reduce our intake to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Freshly Ground

Each day we caffeinate ourselves to the point of near psychosis. Sure, it’s a great way to stay awake during those dull meetings but what it really is, is a fast-acting stimulant which sends blood sugar and adrenaline soaring. Continual coffee drinking can force your adrenal glands to work too hard until they eventually become exhausted and dependent on another coffee fix. However hard it may be at first, attempt to stick to just one cup a day and substitute with antioxidant-rich green tea which has just enough caffeine to stave off cravings.

Carb Overload

Bread is one of the cornerstones of modern day eating habits. We eat bread morning, noon and night without sparing too much of a thought towards the negative effects it may have on our body. If your digestion is compromised by eating too much sugar or caffeine or stress, partially digested wheat can actually enter your blood stream and build up to an intolerance that can cause anything from fatigue and headaches to indigestion, bad skin and depression. Too much yeast can upset the balance of bacteria in the gut and encourage infections such as Candida. For the sake of your own health cut down on bread and go for varieties such as wholemeal as they contain less yeast.

The Cola Wars

Where’s the appeal in fizzy cold drinks? They’re loaded with sugar, which rots teeth and wreaks havoc with our blood glucose levels. Ah, you drink the diet version do you, well in that case… Stop Immediately. Diet fizzy drinks play havoc with your blood sugar and increase your appetite and don’t even get us started on how terrible the artificial sweetener used in fizzy drinks is. Aspartame has been linked to various cancers, hair loss, depression, dementia, behavioural disturbances and epilepsy. In fact - scrap all artificial sweeteners immediately, your body will be grateful. If you insist on drinking fizzy drinks, have carbonated water but make sure you don’t drink it near meals as it can lower stomach acid production and stop you digesting your food fully.

Who ate all the Pies?

Who doesn’t love pies - they’re quick, easy, comforting and really yummy. Pies are not as warm and delightful as we make them out to be, they’re essentially empty calories; saturated fat and sugar which put strain on our livers and surreptitiously creep up on our weekly weigh ins. Bottom line - enjoy the occasional Cornish pastie or Danish but don’t make it the cornerstone of your diet.

Metal Mouth

While tinned foods are convenient for those of you on the run, the metal in these tins can potentially get into your system. Acidic food like fruit can start to break down metal and fatty foods may absorb toxic residues. Our livers don’t have the detoxification pathways to get rid of the metals so they begin to interfere with mineral absorption. Tinned foods are often heated at extreme temperatures so they lose a lot of their nutrients too. If you must eat tinned foods, go organic, some organic brands have coated tins which prevent metals leaking into the food, but the best solution is to always eat fresh foods.

Processed Meats, Anyone?

The amount of additional salt in processed meats can upset your fluid balance, which can also cause the loss of other minerals such as magnesium that are important for chemical body reactions. High salt intake can also lead to problems with blood pressure, bloating and kidney function. Processed meats also tend to be high in saturated fats and, unless organic, in chemicals, hormones and antibiotics. You can combat this by buying lean, unprocessed, organic meat. It’s also important not to eat more than three meat servings a week.

Cheesy very Cheesy

I’m sure most of you will agree that cheese is possibly one of the greatest, most versatile and tasty foods ever. Mature cheese is however extremely fermented and can contribute to yeast overgrowth, it is also very acidic and hard for the body to digest. Mature cheese is also thought to be very mucus forming, which can be a trigger for allergies, nasal problems and skin problems like eczema. Cheese lovers - stick to goat’s cheese - it’s much less acidic and lower in lactose (which is great for the unfortunate lactose intolerant among us).

Roasted Chestnuts and all that Jazz

Raw, natural, unsalted nuts are fantastic for health because they contain healthy essential fats that are good for skin and brain function. However, when they are roasted, the ‘good’ fat changes chemically into unhealthy fats, which your body isn’t equipped to cope with. Raw nuts are great snacks as they actually help the liver to clear out the toxins that can encourage fat gain and help you to burn fat more efficiently and above all stay away from the roasted variety.

Who’s Keen for a Fry-up

While there is something momentarily comforting about fried foods the long term effects that they have on your body is disastrous. Frying destabilises oil molecules and produces free radicals - damaging molecules that zip around your body attacking your cells. We can deal with a certain amount of free radicals but too many leads to cell damage, anything from premature wrinkles to cancer. Instead of frying, steam, bake or grill your, food it’s healthier and often tastier. If you must fry; do it in a wok and use refined peanut, avocado or high oleic sunflower oil as these withstand temperatures better.

Drink and be Merry

Studies have shown that a good night out leaves us with more than an excruciating hangover. Alcohol depletes nutrients, especially the B vitamins that are vital for memory and metabolism, leaving you sluggish and slightly brain dead. It sends blood sugar levels soaring and makes your liver fatty, which prevents it regulating hormones and detoxing your system effectively. We’re not saying “no more partying” all we’re saying is “moderation” - don’t drink more than 14 units a week or more than three in one session. Take vitamin C before and after drinking to protect your liver, and drink plenty of water to counteract dehydration and keep your body working properly. If you’re tempted to reach for the fourth glass of wine keep in mind that tomorrow you’ll be suffering and as we’re likely to want to eat greasy offerings from the local Chippy once intoxicated it’s not just your job this advice might save, it’s your waistline too.

How to Get Discount Hoodia

Nutrition Portal

Most people agree that the best hoodia appetite suppressants are products which contain 100% real hoodia gordonii. Most ads for discount hoodia are either not 100% hoodia gordonii or they cannot be verified as genuine hoodia gordonii from South Africa.

Finding discount hoodia gordonii was not an issue for the San people of southern Africa. It grew around them. It was fairly common. It was not their favorite food source, but it did alleviate feelings of hunger and thirst when they were hunting or searching for more favorable foods. The issue of discount hoodia has only arisen since the world learned of the plant’s ability to suppress the appetite. People have searched for hoodia seeds, presumably to grow their own real hoodia gordonii, but even the harvesting of the seeds from wild hoodia gordonii is now prohibited in most areas of southern Africa and cultivating real hoodia gordonii requires special permits.

Real hoodia gordonii is expensive. It is hard to grow. The blooms smell like rotting meat. It takes a full year to be able to transplant the plants from seed trays to small pots and another three years or so to mature. This is just one of the reasons that real hoodia is not cheap. The best way to get discount hoodia gordonii is to buy multiple bottles from manufacturers that can confirm that there products are real hoodia gordonii. That is if you want effective hoodia products.

The issue of real hoodia versus fake hoodia arises, because there are about 15 different species of hoodia, but only the hoodia gordonii species is believed to be an appetite suppressant. Only real hoodia gordonii has been studied for effectiveness and safety. Phytopharm, a British pharmaceutical company, is still completing clinical research of real hoodia gordonii. Companies could claim to be selling discount hoodia or expensive hoodia for that matter and not face any repercussions (other than from unhappy customers) unless they are making false claims about using real hoodia gordonii. Apparently it is not easy to distinguish between species of hoodia and some hoodia species face the threat of extinction in the wild. Some harvesters may not be sure which hoodia species is the correct species to harvest. It is for this reason that all hoodia species (not just real hoodia gordonii) are protected by CITES, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.

CITES protection means that all hoodia exporters must be licensed. This is one way to find supplements that contain real hoodia gordonii, which is not always discount hoodia, but will be the most effective hoodia for appetite suppression. Look for CITES documents at any website claiming to sell real hoodia or discount hoodia. Look for analytical reports confirming that the hoodia being sold is real hoodia gordonii. If you don’t see these, don’t buy it. Once you find a real hoodia product, check out multi-bottle discounts. This is the best way to buy discount hoodia.

Body Mass Index and Risk of Hospitalization and Death in Older Age

Nutrition Portal

Obesity is officially considered an epidemic in western cultures. In the 30 years between 1970 and 2000, the number of obese persons in the United States has grown from 15% of the population to 31 percent of the population. We know that obesity leads to diabetes and high blood pressure. Having a Body Mass Index of greater than 30 is now considered a risk factor for heart disease, even if other risk factors are not present. There has been some controversy, however, over whether being obese leads to more frequent hospitalization, illness and death in old age.

In an effort to answer this question, Lijing Yan, PhD, MPH and his colleagues studied data that had been collected as part of the Chicago Heart Association Detection Project (JAMA. 2006; 295: 190-198). The study collected information from 17,643 men and women aged 31 to 64 during the years between 1967 and 1973. The examination included BMI, blood pressure, non-fasting cholesterol and electrocardiogram. Information was also collected on demographics, ethnic group, smoking, medical history and medications used.

The researchers then looked at data through 2002 and matched the study participants with specific diagnoses by using Medicare records. Their main outcome that they wanted to measure was the risk of dying after age 65. They then divided those in the study into one of five levels of risk of heart disease, as defined by their blood pressure, cholesterol level and smoking.

The results of the scientist’s efforts showed that regardless of other risk factors for heart disease, their chance of hospitalization and death after age 65 increased as their BMI increased. This risk was the highest in obese persons as compared to those of normal weight. As a person’s risk increased towards the highest levels their risk for hospitalization and death increased as well.

One of the most fascinating pieces of information is how few low risk persons there were at age 65. Only 6.7% of people in the study were in the low risk category as based on the defined criteria. If normal weight is added to the criteria of risk for heart disease, that number drops to only 3.9%. This means that less than 4% of those studied were of normal weight and had a low risk for heart disease.

This is a study that supports other research that has also demonstrated the positive impact a change in lifestyle can have on people’s health. Considering the costs to society of the health problems caused by being overweight or obese, the authors of this study call for “population-wide, multifaceted, primary prevention [of overweight] starting at young age.”

Online Health Supplements

Nutrition Portal

A Guide to Online health supplements
Many of the dietary supplements are available on net or otherwise under the name of women health supplements, weight loss dietary supplements or alternative health supplements. Some of these dietary supplements can be taken as alternative health supplements for some ailments or diseases or along with conventional therapies.

You have the option of buying online health supplements but remember that the only claims that a dietary supplement is allowed to make are structure/function claims. These are broad claims that the product can support the structure or function of the body such as heart health supplements for arteries. But the claims must be registered with the FDA ahead of time, and there is a requirement that these claims be substantiated.

Nevertheless, even if you are buying online health supplement or discount health supplements, remember that some of the dietary supplements overstate their importance and their impact on overall health. The solution here is not to buy these online health supplements, but to be well-informed about the different categories of health supplements available and what specific functions that these health supplements can perform.

The dietary intake of certain minerals or herbal health supplements can change the energy balance and increase or decrease the body fat of a body. Certain dietary supplements help in better absorption of other minerals or help in digestion. Certain health supplements regulate the hormone metabolism of a body especially some of the women health supplements or weight loss health supplements.

Chelated mineral supplements as the best mineral supplements
Many multivitamin formulas have mineral supplements as their constituents. Minerals can also be sold as single supplements. These mineral supplements are available in various forms like tablet, capsule, powder, and liquid forms. Some are available in chelated form, which means that the minerals are bonded to protein molecules that transport them to the bloodstream and enhance their absorption. When mineral supplements are taken in non chelated form they are usually automatically chelated in the stomach during digestion. Chelated mineral supplements are considered as the best mineral supplement form by far. Our experience with the various chelated formulas available has shown that, in general, orotate and arginate forms of minerals make the most effective and the best mineral supplements.

Colloidal mineral supplements
Colloidal minerals differ from metallic minerals in that they are highly absorbable, water-soluble and enzymatically very active. These liquid colloidal mineral supplements are extracted from various vegetable and plant sources with pure, cool clear water to the desired concentration and then processed through a complex array of special filters to allow only the organic colloidal.

The characteristic feature of liquid colloidal minerals is that they have a natural negative electrical charge, which is the signature of the true plant derived mineral. The main advantage of these liquid mineral supplements is that they greatly increase the transport and bioavailability of other nutrients obtained from foods and/or vitamins and other supplements. And secondly these colloidal minerals can attract toxins and heavy metals from the body and flush them out.

Though taking these health supplements in some cases may be helpful but it is best to make use of the natural health supplements present in natural foods. A balanced nutrition and diet is the best solution for taking care of your health.

The author is involved with the hair growth research, he is also writing on subjects like the nutrition, and nutritional diet vitamin supplements and mineral and safe herbal supplements to educate people so that they don’t fall an easy prey to the hordes of synthetic nutrient growth supplements advertised on internet.
